The NVQ Level 2 Certificate is an ideal course for those individuals who are involved in carrying out insulation (or associated treatments) to buildings – whether that be across internal or external surfaces or structures. This qualification is intended for individuals who are employed in the construction industry in jobs involving installing insulation to buildings or carrying out remedial building maintenance work. The qualification is relevant for those employed in either the public or private sectors and they could form the basis of further development towards higher qualification levels. This suite of qualifications shares three mandatory units involving:

Entry Requirements & Timescales Annexes Covered​

There are no formal entry requirements to take this qualification. This qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area; however, we do require at least 3 years’ experience in the trade. The completion of this course depends on the candidate, as to how quickly they complete their portfolio. 

  • Cavity Wall Insulation Level 2 Certificate
  • Loft Insulation Level 2 Certificate
  • Under Floor Insulation Level 2 Certificate

The Process: Complete Your Qualification

You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area. You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete your qualification. The competency process may include but not limited to:

Evidence gathering such as RAMS and other site management documents

Witness testimony certified by a colleague or your line manager
04.
Video evidence of you working

How is the qualification delivered?

You will follow an induction process with your assessor, who will guide you through the process of how to complete your training. This qualification is be completed through our e-portfolio system. This means that you will be able to complete most of your portfolio through the comfort of your own house/ office. Our training sessions start every two weeks.
